best scuba diving?

Me and my family (parents and 3 older teenagers) are all certified scuba divers and have only dove in florida. we are planning on a scuba trip this summer. where would you suggest? Here’s what we’re looking for:

-beautiful, easy diving for BEGINNERS. this is very important that it is an easy and safe location
-divemaster, boat, and equipment available
-we want a nice, preferably large and picturesque beach for when we aren’t diving
-somewhere in the Carribbean

We’ve heard a lot of good things about Grand Cayman and the British Virgin Islands. I would appreciate any suggesstions and any experiences, good and bad, you’ve had diving in the carribbean. Thank you!!

I would vote for Grand Cayman. Alot of the diving off of Seven Mile Beach would be suitable for your skill level. There are lots of dive operators on Seven Mile Beach so you won’t have a problem finding a shop and equipment to use. Many of the hotels have their own dive operator on the premises or are affiliated with one.

As for a beach, you would be hard pressed to find a better one. It is one of the best in the Caribbean.

I’ve also dove in the BVI’s but for your requirements, I think Grand Cayman would be the best fit and have better diving. Whereever you go, have a great time.
