Scuba Diving with Manta Rays, Night Dive near Kona, Hawaii [HQ] by Neil Parris

An amazing once in a lifetime scuba diving experience, underwater at night with the Manta Rays passing close overhead doing loops, turns and always very graceful movement.

The Manta Rays are a filter feeder and they eat the tiny Plankton which is attracted to the lights. A number of dive boats will visit this special location each night and setup a lighting system on the sea floor, and give the divers their own dive lights. If you sit an wait long enough a Manta Ray will swim right over your head.

It’s amazing how graceful these large creatures are, and of course they are perfectly harmless to people. After the Manta Rays we explored the reef by night to see what other wild life we could find including sleeping fish, a squirrelfish and some kind of lobster.

We’d highly recommend the dive company we used called Dive Makai ( http://www.divemakai.com/ ).

Enjoy the video and please feel free to leave quality comments!
